অংক আর গণিতের মধ্যে পার্থক্য আছে। - There is a difference between digit and mathematics.

অংক মানে হলো সংখ্যার লেখার চিহ্ন। - A digit is the symbol for writing numbers.

যে সাংকেতিক চিহ্ন দিয়ে সংখ্যা লেখা হয়, তাকেই অংক বলে। - The symbolic sign used to write numbers is called a digit.

যেমন: ০, ১, ২, ৩, ৪, ৫, ৬, ৭, ৮, ৯ — এগুলো হলো অংক। - For example: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 — these are digits.

এই ১০টি অংক দিয়েই পৃথিবীর সব সংখ্যা তৈরি হয়। - All numbers in the world are formed with these 10 digits.

অংক ২ প্রকার - Digits are of 2 types

১. স্বার্থক অংক (Significant Digit) যার নিজস্ব মান আছে। - Which has its own value. যেমন: ১, ২, ৩, ৪, ৫, ৬, ৭, ৮, ৯ — মোট ৯টি। - For example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 — total 9.

২. সাহায্যকারী বা শূন্য অংক (Auxiliary or Zero Digit): যার নিজস্ব মান নেই, কিন্তু অন্য অংককে সাহায্য করে মান বাড়ায়। - It has no value of its own, but helps other digits to increase their value. যেমন: ০ — মোট ১ টি। - For example: 0 — total 1.

গণিত মানে হলো হিসাব-নিকাশের বিজ্ঞান। - Mathematics is the science of calculation.

গ্রিক শব্দ Mathema থেকে গণিত শব্দটি এসেছে, যার অর্থ হলো শিক্ষা বা জ্ঞান। - The word mathematics comes from the Greek word Mathema, which means learning or knowledge.

যে শাস্ত্রে সংখ্যা, পরিমাণ, পরিমাপ, আকৃতি ও গঠন নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়, তাকে গণিত বলে। - The discipline that discusses numbers, quantity, measurement, shape and structure is called mathematics.

অংক হচ্ছে গণিতের একটি উপাদান। - Digit is an element of mathematics.
